Outposts & Exchange

Run an outpost that gathers and crafts while you're away, send companions on expeditions, trade with other players on the new market, and a much better PC layout.

Key notes

  • Outposts: an idle workshop that keeps working while you’re offline (up to 12 hours). Build and upgrade 11 buildings, hire workers with traits, and refine raw goods into ingots, cloth, remedies and food.
  • Expeditions: recruit up to three companions and send them on 15 routes across the world, from a 30-minute forage to an 8-hour trip to the Root-Core vents.
  • The market: a player auction house at Trading Posts in Root Square, Tidewell and Spire Camp. List anything from your bag with a buyout price; proceeds arrive in your new mailbox.
  • New layouts: on PC, every tab now sits in a rail beside the panel, and wide screens get a third column that always shows where you are. Phones keep the compact one-screen layout.
  • New feats and titles: Industrialist, Baron of the Terraces, Cartographer, Merchant Prince, Tycoon.

Outposts

Find Bell on the Greenward Terraces (you’ll need a homestead) and buy a charter. You start with a Lumber Yard, a Scrap Yard, a Storehouse and your first worker. Every building level adds renown, which unlocks new buildings (Herb Garden, Fishery, Smelter, Loom House, Apothecary Still, Kitchen Hall, Toolshed, Workers’ Lodge) and speeds everything up.

Workers level up as they produce. Each has a trait: Diligent workers are faster, Lucky ones turn up rare materials, Thrifty ones waste fewer inputs, Tireless ones keep working for 16 hours instead of 12, and Steady ones learn quickly. Refiners take their inputs from outpost storage, so your Scrap Yard can feed your Smelter all night.

When you log in, you’ll see what your outpost made while you were away. Tap Collect to bring it all home.

Expeditions

Companions have roles (Scout, Hauler, Fighter, Scholar), levels, and a weapon and trinket you can give them. Their power against a route’s requirement decides the odds. A failed expedition still brings back half the haul, but the companion needs an hour to recover.

The market

List items at any Trading Post with market sell <item> <qty> <price>, or from your Bag with Sell on market. Listing costs 5%, sales are taxed 5%, and listings last 48 hours before unsold items come back by mail. Quest items and bound rewards can’t be sold. Recent sale prices are shown when you list, so you know what things are worth.
